2002 X-Type Fuse diagram - one HID light is out
I'm trying to figure out why my passenger side HID light is out. I'd like to check the fuse, but don't have the fuse diagram for this car. Can anyone post that please? I've searched and couldn't find it, so forgive me if it's been posted already.
Also, what steps would you guys suggest troubleshooting this HID light problem if it turns out not to be a fuse?

Jestered, first check fuse F17 in the fuse box under the hood. Next, assuming that the fuse is good, you are left with 3 possibilities:
1) bad bulb, this is the first thing I would replace in an attempt to fix your issue. The bulbs are fairly cheap and as long as you get a D2S bulb, you will be fine. Just make sure to get a 35W bulb. The factory bulbs are 4300K or 5000K depending on the year of your car.
2) next item is a ballast going bad. Unfortunately, with the factory system, the only way to replace the ballast is to get a new headlight housing. The other option is to simply get an aftermarket kit and install that. From there you can tap into the wires going to the factory ballast and all will be fine.
3) while unlikely, it is possible, you have a problem with the car's wiring. As long as you haven't been messing around with the wiring, it is normally pretty good. If you get to this point, let me know and I will give you a lot of step by step checks to make.
