    I actually replaced the seats with Recaro Ergomeds then had them recovered at an upholstery shop. Any double DIN radio will work, you do have to relocate one back of switches though. Started with an Alpine then ended up with a top of the line Kenwood. But my choices were based on whatever was best that year. I was changing it out nearly every year for a while to get the latest tech. The fogs were made up for me by Paragon out of the UK.     Hello enderle;
    I am restoring a 97 XK8 like you did and have three questions, 1) what brand/model of radio did you install - it looks good. 2) I assume the leather seats covers were replaced and embossed - where did you get them from - tops on line? 3) I need to replace one of the fog lights and like the idea of LED fogs - where did you get those? Thanks David

    No the lights go behind the existing lenses. Try SNG Barratt - The Ultimate Jaguar Parts Specialist for the lenses.

    The LED fog lights by Paragon, did they include new lenses? If so, where can you get new lenses?

    Spare 5.0L engine? Did I miss something? Yes I've been watching your posts on the 2010. I just pissed off some of the F-Type (well one really) folks by wrapping mine (we'll it really is my wife's) V8S in metallic purple and putting on V8R badges. One guy got really nasty. My latest project is a 2008 Audi A3 with a 3.2 engine for the Bend house. Salvage car, got it for $13K. Already have new wheels, new stereo, and new tires on it, oh, and a back up camera. Goes in for paint Monday and gets it's upholstery fixed the following Tuesday. Even put on Audi puddle lights. Damn it is fun to drive. Still have to sort non-working horns and the adoptive headlights which aren't working either. I'm tempted to wrap it and they make a blower kit that will double the horsepower but think my wife will shoot me if I do that. Still...

    Hi Rob,
    Just wanted to "stop by" and see how the new house is going. Hope everything is good with you. Picked up the 2010 XKR and it goes into the shop on Monday for some upgrades, some repairs, some things to try and make me like it as much as my 2002. Now to figure out what to do with a spare 5.0L supercharged engine....

    Hi Rob,
    I am platinummaker on the forum and would love to buy you a cup of coffee some time and look at your car. You have already done several things to yours that I would like to do on my black/black 98 vert.... and only hope it looks as nice! I'm local (Los Gatos), and can meet most anytime...weekday or other. Thanks for all your contributions either way.
