I am a New Zealand six year owner of a 04 Jag 3.0 litre X-type Sovereign and absolutely love it with only one smallish grizzle - that is the road noise from the fitted low profile tyres when driving on 'chip' road surfaces. Have tried different tyre brands and pressures but have not found a satisfactory solution. Any ideas??? Also, recently had to remove and dismantle the Disc Auto Changer (Made in Hungry) which had jammed. Sadly insufficient care was taken and I damaged the flat cable at the rear that feeds into the small box attached to the rear of the unit that the two plugs fit into. Are these cables replaceable, if so from where? Thanks for any help available - John

Hello fellow Jag owner. Would just like your opinion on the xk8. I am Sooooooo tempted to swap my x type for the xk8 but am wondering if the running costs are much greater eg: road tax, fuel consumption, general maintenance etc. I did do a insurance comparison and was amazed to find that the xk8 was cheaper to insure than my 2.1 jag. How do you find the xk8?
